Las Vegas Raiders fans reacted swiftly and harshly to the Los Angeles Chargers’ epic playoff collapse against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Raiders fans are once again forced to watch other teams other than theirs play in the postseason. Among those teams were the Raiders’ AFC West rivals, the Chargers. However, the Chargers reinforced many of the stereotypes surrounding their squad. Chief among them is their inability to get it done when it truly matters. Needless to say, Raiders fans are very amused at the state of the “Bolts” right now.
Raiders fans are basking in the joy right now
If you recall, the Chargers choked against the Raiders in Week 18 of the 2021 season. That choke job cost them a postseason berth as the Raiders rallied after an eventful year. On Saturday evening, Brandon Staley’s squad suffered a crueler fate against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite a commanding lead at halftime of 27-7, the Chargers just couldn’t deliver. Much credit to the Jaguars, Trevor Lawrence, and Doug Pederson for maintaining their resolve and staying the course. At the same time, it was the same old story, as Staley and the Chargers just couldn’t make the necessary adjustments. Just think about this: the Chargers are the first playoff team in NFL history to lose despite owning a five-plus turnover margin, per ESPN.
While it’s unlikely you’ll find Raider Nation rooting for another team other than the Silver and Black, they don’t shy away from rooting for ex-Raiders. For example, wide receiver Zay Jones has flourished with the Jaguars, so in a way, his success certainly puts a smile on Raiders fans’ faces.
