Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams

Top 5 Plays From A Dominant 2022 Season For Raiders WR Davante Adams

The Las Vegas Raiders‘ 2022 season was a pretty weak one. The team limped across the finish line after a year that was underwhelming in many aspects. However, one bright spot was the shiny new toy Las Vegas got before the season began in Davante Adams.

Adams was easily the most important addition to the team before the season began. Adams, one of the best receivers in the NFL, cost the Raiders a first and second round pick prior to the start of the season. Fortunately for the Raiders, Adams was well worth the price. Here are the top five plays from an absolutely dominant season for No. 17.

No. 5: Davante Adams Wins It Against Denver

This play from Davante Adams is our first finalist. This play was massive, as the Raiders broke a tough string of losses with this win over Denver thanks to it. Adams ran a beautiful route here, absolutely annihilating Pat Surtain II’s ankles. This win also marked the Raiders’ sixth in a row over Denver.

No. 4: Adams and Jarrett Stidham Connect

This was just a wonderful play all-around, and it shows the quick connection Jarrett Stidham and Adams found together. Both of them do a terrific job here extending the play, and Stidham was finally able to find Davante Adams breaking across the field for a touchdown, putting them up by 10 against one of the better defenses in the NFL.

No. 3: Pass Interference? No Problem

An amazing thing about Davante Adams is that for most receivers in the league, this is likely their best catch of the season. For Adams, it’s one of many, and it comes in third on this list. As you can see in the play, Adams makes this catch under duress, as the defender pulls his left arm down, drawing the ire of the official. Still, Adams was able to make this tremendous play.

No. 2: Huge Touchdown To Tie The Game For The Raiders

At the time this happened, it was one of the biggest plays of the Raiders’ young season. Las Vegas had a 17-0 lead in this game but was outscored 30-6 from then on, giving Kansas City a seven-point lead. The Raiders would go on to lose the game, but this fantastic pitch-and-catch from Carr and Davante Adams gave them a shot.

No. 1: Davante Adams Is Not Human

This is easily a top candidate for the best catch of the year, and it’s a play that makes you doubt whether Adams is a human, like the rest of us. This came in the last two minutes as the Raiders attempted to tie the game in what was a thriller against San Francisco. The Raiders would go on to tie the game, but proceeded to lose in overtime, unfortunately. This was the best play of Davante Adams’ season.
