It seems that former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr won’t skip a chance to talk about his old team. Much like a scorned ex, a lot of what he has said isn’t flattering. The real question is whether fans have lost some respect for the signal-caller.
To be fair, a lot of what Carr recently said in an interview with Anthony Galaviz of the Fresno Bee isn’t “incendiary.” As to be expected, Carr still loves and remains hopeful for his now-former teammates. Still, one can’t help but read between the lines and perhaps realize that Carr certainly took some pot shots.
“But I’m happy to be somewhere where we’re in a stable organization that’s been proven for years and I hope that the Raiders find something good there too, where they can keep that stability for the next guys because I know how important it is and I care about my old teammates.”
You can interpret as you please, obviously. At the same time, there were definitely some words that stood out that Carr went on to say. Well, they more than stood out; they went viral thanks to social media.
“Once they made my wife cry, that was pretty much over.”
With everything that has come out in the last couple of days surrounding Derek Carr’s exit from the Raiders (by his own accord), would you say that YOUR opinion of him has ______. pic.twitter.com/EBl0tEPghh

Raiders fans react To Derek Carr’s words…
We wouldn’t be doing our jobs if we didn’t take some time to gauge the pulse of Raider Nation. As always, fans didn’t disappoint. Now, have they lost respect for Carr? Well, you be the judge, folks.
Not changed. Glad he’s gone.

I see a lot of people in their personal feelings about Carr can’t separate the Human from the team. He’s complety justified to feel how he feels just like the team can be justified in making the decisions they made. Will never understand the people who hate on Carr the person ????

Doesn’t matter. He’s not on the Raiders roster anymore.

“not changed.” I understand him getting some stuff off his chest. He probably gets badgered about and he feels a bit persecuted. I don’t think it needs to be said but he’s probably got this knot in his stomach about it all. He was by all accounts loyal to the Raiders.

One thing we can all agree on is that Carr will continue to be a divisive topic. Even now, months after his release, whenever Carr opens up about the Silver and Black, people listen. Get used to it, people.
