Davante Adams Will Want Out Of The Raiders By October, Per “Insider”: Fact Or B.S.

The rumor mill just won’t stop when it comes to Las Vegas Raiders wideout and All-Pro Davante Adams. So, who do we believe—an “insider” at ESPN or someone allegedly within Adams’ camp shooting down said rumors?

Will Raiders WR Davante Adams Hit The Eject Button?

As most Raider fans know, talk surrounding Adams this offseason has been nonstop. If we’re being honest, there’s some credence to it. No. 17 came to Las Vegas to play with his college teammate and personal friend, Derek Carr. Yes, Adams has said that his dream was to play for the Raiders, Carr or no Carr. However, to expect us to believe that Carr’s exit didn’t sting would be foolish.

Was Adams sold a false bill of goods? Some within Raider Nation would actually say yes, especially when you account for so much roster turnover.

At the same time, we can make the argument that this Raiders roster is in much better shape than in 2022—no doubt that Adams is aware of this. Regardless, ESPN’s Dan Graziano recently made light of the fact that if things go south quickly, Adams’ “dream” could turn into a nightmare. He went as far as saying that while he’s not insinuating a trade involving Adams is imminent, this current brass has shown it won’t blink twice about jettisoning a player.

“It’s far more likely Adams will get traded in the offseason, but October isn’t out of the realm of possibility. He turns 31 in December and has $16.89 million in guaranteed salary on the books for 2024, so it wouldn’t necessarily be easy. But if he continues to perform like he has, there should be interested teams.”

Not So Fast, Maybe All Of This Is Just B.S… Possibly…

Well, you have to consider the source in these matters. That’s not a knock on Graziano; rather, Adams himself has consistently dispelled these “rumors” all offseason. What’s interesting here is that someone claiming to be in Adams’ inner circle has shot down this latest installment. According to one of the NFL aggregators on X (Twitter), Davante Adams is more than happy to be in Las Vegas, and all of this conjecture is for naught.

Trade hearsay regarding Adams, the Raiders, and supposed “friction” has been covered ad nauseam. So, we’ll spare you further speculation. With that being said, who do you believe in all of this? Or better yet, is all of this just more B.S. right before the season in order to try to generate clicks?
