Some rumors simply don’t die; you can ask any Las Vegas Raiders fan that. For nearly a decade, they were subjugated to the annual “Derek Carr rumors” involving his name. Now, it’s Davante Adams. However, there might be some weight to this possible reunion with Aaron Rodgers.
According to league insider Adam Schefter, the New York Jets attempted to pursue DA17 this season prior to the trade deadline. That was all for naught; Adams, by all accounts, is happy to be on the Raiders.
However, the Jets aren’t done trying. If we’re being honest, can you blame them? Adams is indeed the best wideout in the NFL (arguably). Plus, given the track record of success between Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers, it makes too much sense.
Sources around the NFL expect that the New York Jets will make another run at pursuing a trade for Davante Adams again this offseason, trying once and for all to pair him with Aaron Rodgers. https://t.co/gpK59JEGlJ

As many Raiders fans recall, Adams was very public about his dissatisfaction with the previous coaching direction. Following the loss to the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, he literally had no words. Since then, things have changed. Adams has changed his tune; you can see it in his demeanor on the sidelines, in the game, and in the locker room.
Whether it’s Aidan O’Connell or another young signal-caller next season under center, shipping Davante Adams would hinder their progress. Let’s face it, he’s the best player on offense. Why would the Raiders move him?
