In a time where the United States of America is as divided as it has ever been, not even Las Vegas Raiders football is immune. Particularly after the assassination attempt on Saturday, star defensive end Maxx Crosby showed his backing for former president, Donald Trump.
Some in Raider Nation have begun to lose their collective minds.
Raiders fans trigged following what Maxx Crosby posted…
It’s noteworthy that Crosby firmly refused to succumb to intimidation or any other form of coercion. Like it or not, we are all entitled to our opinion in this country, and Crosby was expressing support for a former president (running again in 2024) who survived an assassination attempt. Perhaps we have progressed beyond the era of censorship (cancel culture), where individuals can succumb to pressure to conform to the wishes of a group.
One thing’s for sure: It’s indeed a sad day. The lines appear to be drawn in the sand, and judging by people’s reactions, you’re either on one side or the other. Because you are a dedicated Raiders fan, you can only use football as an escape for so long until the reality of our lives hits you. This is one of those times.
Either way, here’s just a snippet of Raiders fans reacting to Crosby’s Tweets.
Now folks are Madd at Maxx

Maxx please tell me you are not a Trump supporter. Please, I will still love you as a player, but as a spokesperson on social and economic issues…I don’t get it….SMH

I’ve been a long-time raiders fan and this disappointed me with every fiber of my being, I am really saddened in you Maxx.

To paraphrase what former President Barack Obama stated following Saturday’s events, there’s no place for violence in any of this. In addition, we’d like to express our condolences to the family of the victim, who tragically lost their life.
Oh, and one more thing. Make the Raiders great again, no matter politics or who players like or dislike.
