Raiders News: Davante Adams, Aaron Rodgers, and more.

We Can Finally Focus On Raiders Football Thanks To Davante Adams’ Agent

To quote our colleague Maurice Moton from the Bleacher Report, it turns out that all of the Davante Adams talk was indeed a ‘f-u-g-a-z-i.’ We can now fully turn our attention to training camp for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Netflix’s Receiver series fueled one of the biggest stories in the last week or so. Adams, who we all know was frustrated with Josh McDaniels and Jimmy Garoppolo, was the object of speculation. It created an ideal environment for an unfounded narrative to flourish. Take into account the release of Netflix’s show, Aaron Rodgers then teases that he wants to play with Adams again and his Jets teammate Breece Hall adds more fuel. This is the outcome when football isn’t in play.

As you can imagine, social media has been ablaze because of all of this. Today, Raiders fans breathe a little easier and instead focus their attention elsewhere.

Raiders fans get clarity on the Davante Adams rumors

On Tuesday, league insider Adam Schefter shared a statement from Kenny Chapman and Frank Bauer—these two are Adam’s agents. Essentially, they shut down the notion that there’s been any sort of trade talk and that Adams won’t be going anywhere.

According to Schefter, the statement read as follows:

“This is baseless, unfounded speculation and Davante is expected to be with the Raiders as there has been absolutely no trade talk – period.”

More than likely, we’ve seen the last of these rumors for now. We have to keep in mind that we live in an era where sports coverage is 24/7, and even when there are no games, there needs to be some sense of news. Put it this way: the moment the Raiders start to struggle, all of this will come back to the forefront. That’s especially true if it takes place prior to the trade deadline this season.
