Raiders News: QB Battle Picking Up...

Fan Poll: QB Switch Doesn’t Make Sense Right Now For The Raiders

Say what you will about production from the quarterback position for the Las Vegas Raiders, but the team is 2-2. Why make a change now? Raider Nation certainly doesn’t seem to want a change (for now at least).

Say what you want about Gardner Minshew, but the Raiders’ starting signal-caller is doing what he can out there. The offensive line just simply isn’t living up to expectations this season. Kolton Miller seems like a shell of himself at times, which is quite noticeable. Fans can find excitement in Dylan Parham and Jackson Powers-Johnson, so there’s that too. Conversely, Minshew is getting beat up out there; the double-digit sacks (13) that he’s been on the receiving end of aren’t doing him any favors.

You could also argue that the Raiders sit at 2-2 in spite of Minshew; three touchdowns and three interceptions are, well, underwhelming. Still, there’s plenty of blame to go around; many fans are pointing to offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and his perceived lack of creative playcalling. Head coach Antonio Pierce supports his OC, so for now, it’s unlikely either one of these men will make a change. With the way the O-line has been blocking, do you want to throw Aidan O’Connell into a situation where his lack of mobility will be evident?

Despite all of that, we took the question to the people. Asking our readers whether Pierce and the Raiders should pull the plug on the Minshew experiment, you too can weigh in down below via our Twitter/X live poll.

There could be changes on the horizon for the Raiders…

By now, we’ve all heard about the development surrounding Davante Adams. If a trade materializes soon, the Raiders offense’s face will undergo a major facelift. We already got a snippet of what the team could look like without Adams on Sunday against the Browns.

The key will be the running game; if Sunday’s momentum carries over, this will surely help Minshew as the season progresses. All Minshew has to do is avoid costly turnovers, which, judging from their record, he’s mostly managing in doing so. The Raiders could easily be 1-3 or worse, 0-4.
