It has been a relationship that’s trended downward for some time; it appears that Davante Adams and the Las Vegas Raiders will soon part ways.
Raider Nation was ecstatic when the Silver and Black successfully acquired Adams. One of the league’s superstar cornerstones would now be wearing a Raiders uniform—however, par the course, it didn’t work out. Fast forward to 2024 from 2022 and how the mighty have fallen. To be fair, there’s plenty of blame to go around; you can argue Adams quit on his team, but did they ever really do right by him? Either way, it appears it’ll be over soon.
Life’s rough if you’re a Raiders uniform—some solace is that one of the team’s biggest distractions will soon be dealt with (or away).
Are the Raiders nearing a trade involving Davante Adams?
Something that has really escalated the rumors surrounding Adams was his decision to cancel his Tuesday appearance on “Up and Adams.” The fact that Kay Adams herself sparked controversy by revealing a significant detail via her X/Twitter about the cancellation didn’t alleviate the situation.
“Oh boy – lots happening at the moment with our guy Adams… he won’t be on TOMORROW. Sorry about that and stay tuned.”
On top of all this, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce didn’t provide much information on the topic during his media appearance on Monday. In fact, he chose to follow Bill Belichick’s lead and provided no updates, using the phrase “status quo” to describe any developments. At least the coach is quickly learning from his mistakes with respect to his handling of the media.
Regarding Adams, it appears that both fans and the media are preparing for his inevitable exit at this point.
Today’s the day you get shipped off. Oh, how I’ve been sitting quietly and waiting for this…

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported on Monday that a trade should materialize within 48 hours. In other words, are we going to see a blockbuster trade before Tuesday is over? Or will this situation persist as the Raiders gear up to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6?
