Raiders News: Shedeur Sanders future QB?

Raiders Move Into Top 5 Pick Territory—Shedeur Sanders Fanning The Flames?

Let’s face it, most Las Vegas Raiders fans are looking ahead to the NFL draft already. Well, apparently, someone else is also looking forward to it—a certain quarterback, if you catch our drift.

Sunday marked yet another loss for the Silver and Black. In the midst of a historically bad losing streak (six if you’re keeping count), most of Raider Nation is waving the figurative white flag. Who can blame them, right? Despite receiving a lot of attention during the offseason, thanks to the efforts of head coach Antonio Pierce, the team finds itself in last place in the AFC West, with three teams boasting quarterbacks and, according to some, superior rosters.

You could also argue that the coaching of the three other teams is superior. Nevertheless, the legendary Al Davis consistently hinted at the Raiders’ “future,” and despite the mounting losses, they seem to be preparing for a pivotal decision that could significantly impact the franchise. This decision has the potential to shape the Raiders for the upcoming decade and beyond.

We’re referring to the draft and the team’s current position, which Tankathon currently pegs them at No. 4 for next year. For this to continue, the Raiders need to keep losing; there’s just no other way around it.

NFL Draft: Who will the Raiders select next year?

The obvious answer on everyone’s minds when it comes to draft day is that Las Vegas needs a franchise quarterback. One college player that many in Raider Nation believe is doing his best to manifest a potential pick up is Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders. Many mock drafts and league insiders believe Sanders will indeed be the pick if the Raiders remain winless from here on out. It’ll likely take a top-three selection to nab the son of the legendary Deion Sanders.

But what do we mean by “manifesting” all of this?

Every time that the Raiders have lost a game this season, Sanders takes to Twitter to “thank God.” As you can imagine, theories are running rampant on social media. We can’t confirm whether this is a ploy or just a coincidence—no one can if we’re being honest. Many people were wondering if Sanders would’ve done the same had the Raiders won on Sunday. We may never know, as the Raiders may not win again this season.
