For months now, Las Vegas Raiders fans have wondered just what kind of role Tom Brady would play in ownership—the picture is now becoming clearer.
Although Raider Nation initially expressed reluctance at the prospect of the greatest player in New England Patriots history joining the team, there may be a shift in sentiment. Regardless of your perspective, Brady is a proven winner, and he has a deep understanding of the quarterback position and its intricacies. The Raiders haven’t experienced significant success at the quarterback position since Rich Gannon guided the Silver and Black to the Super Bowl. Funny enough, that’s around the time that Brady’s career began to take off.
Life often unfolds in unexpected ways, particularly in the realm of sports. Ironically, the player who many blame for ending the Raiders’ early 2000s run now faces the responsibility of finding the team’s next signal-caller. Fans hope this quarterback can turn around the team’s recent struggles.

News surrounding Tom Brady and the Raiders’ quarterback search…
League insider Ian Rapoport reported this weekend on NFL Gameday Morning that owner Mark Davis has given clarity to what Brady’s role will be. Fans have wondered whether Brady would just be a “face,” but he’s going to be far from just a figurehead. Davis stated that Brady will have a “huge voice” in helping determine who the next quarterback of the Raiders will be. Will that be Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders?
You have to figure that this is just the beginning for Brady and Davis. It certainly feels like the Raiders could be in for a “reset” once again; we saw it with Jon Gruden’s return, the hiring of Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler, and now, with Brady having a say, we could see a new head coach (and possibly general manager). Whether it’s Sanders, Cam Ward, or someone else, the Raiders will indeed have a rookie quarterback next year—the question is, who’ll emerge between now and the NFL Draft?
