Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby talks Tom Brady plus, is Jimmy Garoppolo a one and done?

Maxx Crosby On Future With The Silver And Black, “I Want To Win With The Raiders, But…”

It’s been an eventful week for Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby. Speaking about the dismissal of former head coach Antonio Pierce, the defensive end had plenty to say on his show, “The Rush.

Many know that the defensive end endorsed for his coach to remain in Las Vegas last offseason. “It is extremely disappointing,” Crosby said. “I believed in [Pierce].” Unfortunately, the Raiders had an underwhelming season, losing 10 games in a row. Additionally, the team only notched four wins. Even Crosby must understand that this didn’t leave much room for confidence from ownership, especially with a winner like Tom Brady taking on a larger role within the organization.

Will No. 98 ask for a trade?

Currently, “The Condor” has served three distinct regimes in the Silver and Black. This number will increase to four soon. Trade rumors have surfaced as a result. Will this new regime finally create success?

“I am going to do what is best for me,” Crosby said. “I want to win with the Raiders, but we will see.” This does not sound like a trade is impossible by any means. Obviously, he expresses a desire to stay in Las Vegas, but everything must make sense.

A major problem is the contract with the Eastern Michigan alumni. His deal has no more guaranteed money. This means that if an injury occurs, No. 98 would lose out on a significant amount of capital. However, Las Vegas does not have tight pockets this offseason and can afford to reward Crosby.

Are the Raiders going to pay Maxx Crosby?

In many situations, the decision to pay a lucrative contract falls on the head coach. Regardless of the new coach, Mark Davis will make this decision. History demonstrated this when Davis chose to reward Derek Carr.

“Mark Davis truly wants to win more than anything; that is where we are fully aligned,” Crosby said. The two have a wonderful relationship, which theoretically makes a trade unlikely. We cannot ignore Crosby’s underwhelming season. Conversely, injuries piling up forced him to shut down for the first time in his career. On top of that, he was unable to reach eight sacks and only played in 12 games. Furthermore, “The Condor” will demand payment as if the previous season never occurred.
