Las Vegas Raiders quarterback news: Aidan O'Connell, Gardner Minshew, Daniel Jones, and AFC West.

One Sentence To Describe Every Raiders Player’s 2024 Season

As a whole, the Las Vegas Raiders 2024 season was about as disastrous as it gets. Looking at the whole picture, there’s a lot to be disappointed about.

Today, though, we’re getting more specific. Let’s look at every Raider on the 2024 roster and give one sentence to describe their own season.

Las Vegas Raiders: One Sentence To Describe Each Raider’s 2024 Campaign

Ameer Abdullah, RB: Another efficient year in a long career, but nothing to write home about.

Brock Bowers, TE: Absolutely incredible, easily the greatest rookie season we’ve ever seen from a tight end.

Carter Bradley, QB: The perfect player to round out the most mediocre quarterback room in the league.

Harrison Bryant, TE: Did a decent job with his limited chances; might have played more if the offense didn’t revolve around Brock Bowers.

Amari Burney, LB: 17 tackles in 101 snaps, not too shabby.

Adam Butler, DT: Had more tackles for a loss than missed tackles; hard to be upset with that.

Matthew Butler, DT: Will become the only ‘Butler’ on the roster if Adam Butler leaves in free agency.

Daniel Carlson, K: Obviously the most influential Raiders player with the initials ‘DC’ over the past decade.

Andre Carter II, DE: Had a half of a sack against the Saints!

Zachary Carter, DE: Gave the Raiders some much-needed depth on the defensive line in the middle of the season.

K’Lavon Chaisson, DE: Sometimes all you need is a change of scenery.

A.J. Cole, P: Despite all the Raiders’ struggles, they always seem to have a good punter.

How about those Raiders linebackers?

Divine Deablo, LB: A few good performances, but average for the most part.

Tommy Eichenberg, LB: We got a glimpse of a guy who might hold a much larger role with the team in 2025.

Amari Gainer, LB: Thank you for being healthy when the rest of the defense was injured.

D.J. Glaze, OT: Quietly played like one of the better tackles in his draft class as a third-round pick.

Thomas Harper, S: Allowed just two of seven balls thrown his way to be completed, #Lockdown

Nate Hobbes, CB: Another rock-solid season for the Raiders’ best cornerback.

Darnay Holmes, CB: Some decent moments as a depth piece.

Andre James, C: An extremely average season, took a small step backwards.

John Jenkins, DT: Another year in the books of a long career, but not much of an impact on the field.

Jack Jones, CB: A whole lot of talking; actual results may vary.

Dylan Laube, RB: Could develop into a quality player, but had far too high of expectations for a sixth-round pick.

Jonah Laulu, DT: Three passes defended, three tackles for a loss, and a sack; did a little bit of everything.

Alexander Mattison, RB: Did as well as a running back could possibly do under a 2024 Luke Getsy-ran offense.

Michael Mayer, TE: Managed to contribute despite the addition of Bowers; the season was unfortunately limited due to personal reasons.

Jordan Meredith, OG: Quietly did well when he was on the field.

Jakobi Meyers, WR: He’s had to deal with horrible quarterback play the past two years, yet remains extremely consistent.

Starting to see a pattern with all of the injuries?

Kolton Miller, OT: His shoulder bugged him to start the season, but he managed to find his excellent form again in 2024.

Tre’Von Moehrig, S: Same as usual, dominant against the run but suspect against the pass.

Thayer Munford Jr., OT: Extremely mediocre offensive line play.

Aidan O’Connell, QB: Played well enough for some Raiders fans to think he should start in 2025.

Dylan Parham, OG: Consistently productive in both run and pass blocking.

Isaiah Pola-Mao, S: Needs to be better in pass coverage but showed some promise in light of Marcus Epps’ injury.

Jackson Powers-Johnson, OG/C: If he didn’t botch that snap against Kansas City, he would have had the perfect rookie season.

Decamerion Richardson, CB: We’ll get a better evaluation when he doesn’t miss half the season with a hamstring injury.

Nobody would’ve predicted Desmond Ridder on this team…

Desmond Ridder, QB: Nobody can call you a bandwagon fan in the future if you had to watch the Desmond Ridder-led Raiders.

Janarius Robinson, DE: Didn’t really play enough for a real evaluation, but did knock one pass down and record half a sack, though.

Charles Snowden, DE: The Raiders are surely drafting higher than No. 6 if Snowden didn’t have that game-saving sack against the Browns.

Robert Spillane, LB: Please, please, please don’t leave in free agency.

Trey Taylor, S: Making fun of Patrick Mahomes in training camp may or may not have cursed the Raiders season.

Tre Tucker, WR: It would be really fun to watch Tucker with competent quarterback play.

Sam Webb, CB: Special teams warrior.

Cody Whitehair, OG: Could well be the worst run-blocking lineman in the league but remains competent in pass protection.

Tyree Wilson, DE: Made a ton of progress; his third season could be exciting.

Jakorian Bennet, CB: A massive improvement compared to his rookie season.

Maxx Crosby, DE: If he doesn’t request a trade, he might be the most loyal human in existence.

Malcolm Koonce/Marcus Epps: This defense would have looked much better if these two didn’t miss extended periods of time.

Luke Masterson, LB: Was having a solid season until it was derailed by injury.

Sincere McCormick, RB: One of the only entertaining players on the offense this season was a nice surprise.

And then, there was…

Gardner Minshew II, QB: Can we pretend this never happened?

D.J. Turner, WR: Did well with limited chances; could blossom in a new offense in 2025 if used properly.

Zamir White, RB: Just disappointing.

Christian Wilkins, DT: Made a nice impact before his injury; would love a full, healthy season from him in the Silver and Black.

It’s interesting to consider how many different stories a given season tells when looking at a list like this one. This is especially true when you consider that the Raiders embarked on a devastating 10-game losing streak. Despite all those losses, we still got to see some players step up, like McCormick, Bennett, Wilson, and Chaisson. Even O’Connell had some outstanding moments.

Despite everything going wrong with the franchise, there are some promising signs. Looking down this list, there are many players who could prove valuable to the Raiders in the upcoming years.
