With the season coming to a close, there are only a few weeks of NFL football left to bet on. Within the AFC West, we are down to just one team: the Kansas City Chiefs. Nevertheless, this one game still offers plenty of value, so let’s get into the picks!

AFC West: Betting the Chiefs’ Divisional Round Matchup

The Chiefs kick off their postseason with the Houston Texans coming to town this weekend. Last week, Houston seemed to finally look like the team that we all expected them to be at the start of the year. However, it is hard to tell how much of that was the Texans and how much can just be chalked up to the Chargers being the Chargers.
Regardless, the Texans looked good enough that they should be able to at least hang around. Blowouts have not been Kansas City’s thing this year either. They have only won four games all season by more than one score. That being said, the Chiefs are still the two-time defending champs for a reason. Patrick Mahomes and company will get theirs and find a way to win.
I’m taking the Texans to cover this week, but I’m not feeling bullish enough to bet them straight up. Houston will put up some points, though, and Joe Mixon is a great bet to do that. Any time you get plus odds on a guy to score who has done so in half his games this year, you have to hammer it. Finally, expect Mahomes to come up big in the postseason like he has his whole career (as he’s done versus the AFC West, too). +240 is a crazy value for something that he has already done eight times in the playoffs.
These bets all fit together in the same game script, so feel free to parlay them all together at +1500.
