Las Vegas Raders News: Tre Tucker, and more.

Tre Tucker: Raiders Receiver Looking For A Breakout Season In Year 3

Ahead of the 2023 season, the Las Vegas Raiders used a third-round draft pick on Tre Tucker, a wide receiver out of Cincinnati.

In his first two seasons in the league, Tucker had some good moments, but offensive issues have slowed his development. From poor quarterback play to poor play calling and several coaching changes, Tucker has struggled to maintain consistency.

However, entering the 2025 season, Tucker could be on the verge of a breakout year. Despite the need to address the quarterback situation, the arrival of a new regime offers hope. Let’s take a look at Tucker’s 2024 season and judge what his future might look like.

Las Vegas Raiders Player Review: Tre Tucker

Tucker’s Best Moments In 2024

Although it came in a brutal loss, Tucker’s best statistical performance of the season came in the Raiders loss to the Carolina Panthers. Tucker had seven catches for a season-high 96 yards, including this touchdown shown below.

Another impressive game came in the Raiders heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He only had one reception on the day, but it was this massive 58-yard touchdown to give the Raiders the lead in the fourth quarter.

Tucker had a couple of decent performances elsewhere in the year as well. He recorded 41 receiving yards in two Raiders wins, against both the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tucker’s 2024 Season

While Tucker didn’t dominate the statsheet in Year 2, he did make significant progress. He had 539 receiving yards, up from his 331 in his rookie year. He did it on a solid 47 receptions and scored three touchdowns. It’s important to note that, like any player catching passes for the Raiders in 2024, he did so despite unfortunate quarterback play.

In 2025, Tucker should have a good chance to improve even more. Currently, Tucker looks like the third option on the roster behind Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers. With the quarterback play the Raiders had in 2024 thanks to Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew, it was difficult to produce behind those two.

Now that we know Geno Smith will be starting for the Silver and Black, fans can only hope Tucker’s involvement within the offense will see an uptick. Tucker’s smack-dab in the middle of his rookie contract. He’s got two years left on his deal, which expires after 2026. These next two seasons will greatly affect what his value looks like as he enters free agency a couple of offseasons from now. The Raiders and Tucker will hope he plays well.
