Though it’s been a relatively quiet offseason for the Las Vegas Raiders thus far, could there be something involving Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens on the horizon?
A significant number of you have probably already seen the photograph that Pickens himself helped spread thanks to the power of social media. The photograph features Tom Brady, the new minority owner of the Raiders. Is there something here, or nothing at all?
While this is purely speculative, it’s also possible that he was simply sharing a photo with Brady—perhaps as a nod to the quarterback’s legendary “GOAT” status rather than signaling Brady’s role of powerbroker within the Raiders’ organization. However, the post still carries some weight, regardless of interpretation.
The Raiders could certainly use another established wide receiver alongside Jakobi Meyers, and a trio featuring Pickens, Meyers, and Bowers would be an elite offensive unit. At just 24 years old, Pickens is still in the early stages of his career, yet he has already demonstrated impressive production. Over three seasons with the Steelers, he has recorded 174 receptions for 2,841 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 16.3 yards per catch.
Pickens has shown steady improvements each year in the NFL. Last season, he was on track for a career-best performance before an injury cut his year short, limiting him to 14 of 17 games. Additionally, he has faced the challenge of inconsistent quarterback play, having worked with eight different quarterbacks in just three seasons. Despite these obstacles, his talent and potential remain undeniable.
Reaction has been swift from Raider Nation, as you may imagine, but what say you?
Please do not bring this crashout headcase loving ball dropper to the Raiders….
He is not good and has been severely overhyped since his Georgia days.
I beg you. pic.twitter.com/h22aEPG9JU

On the other hand, this could all be for naught and Pickens is just having some fun this offseason.
