If the Las Vegas Raiders could bring back either Hunter Renfrow or Amari Cooper, who would you go with if you’re general manager John Spytek?
Renfrow should be brought back by the Raiders depending on a number of elements, including contract value, system fit, and organizational vision for its receiving lineup. Renfrow is a powerful third-down weapon with dependable hands who specializes in the short-to-intermediate throwing game. Should Las Vegas require a consistent slot receiver, a team-friendly deal may make sense.
Perhaps the Raiders feel he can rediscover his 2021 form at the appropriate price; a reunion may be well worth it. Ironically, many supporters thought he had retired peacefully only a few weeks ago.
SI recently proposed Amari Cooper as an option for the Raiders this offseason. You also have the unwavering loyalty from some toward Hunter Renfrow…
If you could bring back one for this season, which one are you rolling with?

Then we have Cooper.
For the Raiders, bringing Cooper back in 2025 would be a fascinating prospect but would rely on a number of important considerations. Cooper is still a high-level route runner with consistent hands and big-play potential. He may still be a valuable WR1 or WR2 even if by 2025 he is in his 30s. Unfortunately, Cooper battled consistency but also had periods of outstanding performance during his first Raiders stay. Cooper may make sense in a reunion if he is still playing at a high level and is reasonably priced. It doesn’t help that rumors are getting louder with each passing day as well.
But if the Raiders are giving younger receivers first priority or Cooper’s market worth is high, they could search elsewhere—the draft—Tetairoa McMillan, anyone?
