Raiders Fans Weigh In On “Most Exciting Offseason Addition”

Las Vegas Raiders fans have had mixed feelings thus far when it comes to the offseason; nonetheless, they’re excited about at least one move thus far.

The announcement of John Spytek as the new Raiders general manager marked the beginning of yet another regime change. The Silver and Black have been the NFL’s face of instability ever since Jon Gruden resigned a few years ago. Gruden, Dave Ziegler, and Tom Telesco have all left the team unceremoniously. However, alongside new head coach Pete Carroll, maybe this will be the group that finally gets it right.

Based on the regime’s first free agency period, some fans are perplexed by the lack of aggressive acquisitions—no “big” or “sexy” names. Conversely, other fans understand that you don’t build a contender strictly through free agency with mediocre, high-priced players. The Raiders of old did that for years and we all know the results. Well, 2025 has certainly brought a different approach.

If you go to our live poll on our X/Twitter account, you’ll note that Raiders fans overwhelmingly voted for Malcolm Koonce—in fact, more than 50% of the near 700 votes. Still, the other moves are certainly noteworthy, especially Jeremy Chinn and what he’ll mean for the Patrick Graham-led defense.
