Las Vegas Raiders News: Best Offseason Moves Thus Far

Two Prospects Gain Steam With Las Vegas Raiders Ahead Of Draft

As the 2025 NFL Draft inches closer, rumors of teams around the National Football League eyeing prospects are in full gear. That includes the Las Vegas Raiders, who, down the stretch, have been linked to two different prospects.

That’s Alabama’s Jalen Milroe and Georgia’s Jalon Walker.

Walker, a projected top-10 pick, is the second prospect that’s gained momentum with the Raiders this week. The first was Armand Membou; a tackle from Missouri who found himself engulfed in Raiders rumors earlier in the week. Now, it’s Walker’s turn to be the latest alleged link to Sin City’s football team.

At Georgia, Walker spent time as both an edge rusher and off-ball linebacker. He’s compiled 19 tackles behind the line of scrimmage with 12.5 sacks through three seasons, adding two fumble recoveries to his resume this past season.

Milroe, on the other hand, will not be competing for the sixth-overall selection. He may be competing for Las Vegas’ second-round selection, however.

At least, that’s a possibility ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler believes.

While Milroe currently lacks in the skill department, his natural god given abilities make him stand out in comparison to his peers. On top of running a 4.40 at his Pro Day – some clocked him closer to 4.37 – Milroe can launch the ball downfield with a simple flick of the wrist. These are unteachable traits that make the 22-year-old’s ceiling quite high.

Conversely, Milroe’s current lack of built-up skill makes his floor notably low. A bad combination of accuracy and decision making have halted his draft stock, and could play major factors in a lack of development at the pro-level. This past season, these traits led Milroe to 16 touchdowns thrown with 11 interceptions, completing only 64.3% of his passes.

Expect to hear more rumors as the 2025 NFL Draft creeps closer.
