After about a week or so of leaks, the entire 2025 NFL schedule is now officially official. So, with the excitement of the 2025 schedule release now behind us, let’s look at a game-by-game prediction for the Las Vegas Raiders.
We will go through each game and offer a prediction for the result.
Week 1: Raiders @ Patriots
Prediction: Raiders WIN 24-20
Following a successful offseason, Las Vegas is poised to make a strong start. They kick things off against another rapidly rebuilding franchise in the New England Patriots. The contest should be a close game, but the Raiders’ ball-control offense should keep Drake Maye at bay.
Week 2: Chargers @ Raiders
Prediction: Raiders LOSE 23-17
The Silver and Black get a tough draw for their home opener, and on Monday Night Football, no less. The Chargers look primed to make a big jump in the second year of the Jim Harbaugh era. These are two very similarly built teams, but Los Angeles might be a little further along at this point.
Week 3: Raiders @ Commanders
Prediction: Raiders LOSE 31-17
This might be one of the toughest games on the schedule. Coming off a short week, they have to travel across the country to take on the high-flying Washington Commanders. This one could get ugly.
Week 4: Bears @ Raiders
Prediction: Raiders WIN 27-16
In a matchup between two rebuilding franchises, the Bears seem like they have more left to do. Expect Las Vegas to return to winning ways this week.
Week 5: Raiders @ Colts
Prediction: Raiders WIN 19-13
With Las Vegas looking to build a win streak as they head on the road, a matchup with the Colts led by the erratic Anthony Richardson is about as ideal as it gets. Expect the road team to win in a rock fight.
Week 6: Titans @ Raiders
Prediction: Raiders WIN 28-9
The Raiders head home with a winning record. Now, they get a fortuitous matchup with a rookie quarterback on a terrible team. The winning streak improves to three straight.
Week 7: Raiders @ Chiefs
Prediction: Raiders LOSE 24-23
Well, it was fun while it lasted. A road trip to Arrowhead significantly undermines momentum. However, the Raiders seem prepared to fight this year. After a close loss, they get a chance to regroup with a ‘bye’ week.
Week 8: BYE
This is a really solid spot to have a week off. It’s not too early, nor is it too late. This date is also a fantastic time to make any moves ahead of the trade deadline. At 4-3, Las Vegas could be looking to make some additions for a possible playoff push.
Week 9: Jaguars @ Raiders
Prediction: Raiders WIN 21-17
It is difficult to know what to do with this new-look Jacksonville team. Instead of worrying about that, let’s focus on the fact that Las Vegas is playing well, coming off a bye, and playing at home. That should be enough to get the win, regardless of the opponent.
Week 10: Raiders @ Broncos
Prediction: Raiders WIN 19-16
As it’s Thursday Night Football, you might anticipate the game to be a bit unconventional and unpredictable. Such an environment could potentially benefit the Silver and Black by creating an even playing field during what would otherwise be a challenging road trip.
Week 11: Cowboys @ Raiders
Prediction: Raiders LOSE 34-26
This may be a tougher game than most would anticipate. While the Raiders do get extra rest after playing on Thursday going into this Monday night game, Dallas has the extra advantage of coming off a bye week. Furthermore, the matchup is not ideal. This will be a major test for the Raiders’ new-look secondary, as Dak Prescott has plenty of weapons at his disposal. Expect the game to be a bit of a shootout, with the Raiders struggling to keep pace.
Week 12: Browns @ Raiders
Prediction: Raiders WIN 27-19
It may be a short week, but at least the Raiders get a cupcake game. This year, the Browns are expected to be a complete disaster. To stay in the playoff race, Las Vegas must perform well.
Week 13: Raiders @ Chargers
Prediction: Raiders WIN 24-21
The city of Los Angeles will only ever be home to one NFL team, and it will always be the Raiders. Look for Las Vegas to avenge an early-season loss in an AFC West classic. The Raiders improve to 8-4.
Week 14: Broncos @ Raiders
Prediction: Raiders LOSE 24-13
The Raiders could be ready for a disappointing game after winning two straight and narrowly defeating a rival. Beating a formidable Broncos team twice would be tough on a good day. The result feels like a loss.
Week 15: Raiders @ Eagles
Prediction: Raiders LOSE 27-17
Yikes. After a tough loss, the last thing any team wants to do is travel to Philly in December to take on the defending Super Bowl champs. This one could get ugly to start, with the Raiders closing the gap a bit in garbage time.
Week 16: Raiders @ Texans
Prediction: Raiders LOSE 23-21
After losing two in a row, I would appreciate it if the Raiders could head home for an easy win against a bad team. Instead, they travel to Houston to take on a tough Texans team. Las Vegas needs a win badly here. Unfortunately, they come up just short, falling to 8-7 after a third consecutive loss.
Week 17: Giants @ Raiders
Prediction: Raiders WIN 27-10
The Raiders, desperately clinging to their playoff hopes, finally secure a victory at home against a hapless Giants team. By this point in the season, New York will likely have already kicked off the Jaxson Dart era. The Raiders win this one handily.
Week 18: Chiefs @ Raiders
Prediction: Raiders LOSE 21-20
This Week 18 matchup is likely to determine the Raiders’ playoff hopes. In this scenario, the 9-7 Raiders take on the 10-6 Chiefs for the final wildcard spot. It will be close, with the Raiders up 20-14 late in the fourth quarter. However, Patrick Mahomes and the officials will not let the game end quietly. Several ill-timed defensive pass-interference penalties later, Mahomes connects with Travis Kelce for a game-winning touchdown. The Raiders’ season ends in heartbreaking fashion.
Raiders Finish Season 9-8, Miss Playoffs
This is not a bad way to start the Pete Carroll era. The team improved significantly and was a couple of plays away from the postseason. Sure, the ending is rough, but it could be much worse.
