Raiders News: Top 10 Players

The Top Ten Las Vegas Raiders Players For 2025

Difference makers in Las Vegas have dramatically changed since last season. There is a new, established quarterback at the helm and a rookie running back ready to take over. Additionally, Pete Carroll has returned to coach again, with Chip Kelly commanding the Las Vegas Raiders offense. So let’s examine some of those previously mentioned difference makers as training camp draws near.

In fact, let’s see who my top ten players are heading into this season.

2025’s Top 10 Raiders Players

No. 10: Ashton Jeanty, Running Back

He possesses home run ability, balance, and even a charming nickname. “The Silver Surfer” has joined the dark side and is set to showcase his talents to the professional ranks. He was the runner-up for the Heisman for a reason. The first thing to remember is that Jeanty has won almost every possible award during his college career.

Unanimous All-American, Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year twice, and the Doak Walker Award. These are just a few of the accomplishments from the star running back.

This achievement necessitates his inclusion in the Raiders’ top ten.

No. 9: Jackson Powers-Johnson, Center

This will be the debut season for “JPJ” as the full-time starter. He is a tenacious blocker and the focal point of the offensive line. His ferocious play style is unique, as he does not quit until his defender has his face in the ground. The 22-year-old still has a lot of room to grow but shows he can have a high ceiling.

Last season he posted a 63.9 PFF grade. With more games under his belt, this number should rise in 2025.

No. 8: Geno Smith, Quarterback

Las Vegas has not had an exceptional quarterback in the five years since the Raiders relocated. Derek Carr’s best days seemed to be behind him, resulting in a series of changes at the quarterback position. The former Seattle Seahawk is reuniting with Pete Carroll after spending one season apart.

Smith possesses dual-threat ability, supreme accuracy, and an underdog mentality. Carroll gave him another chance at stardom that he took advantage of. Since 2022, the West Virginia alum has not recorded a losing season. He controls the ceiling of what this Raider squad can be.

No. 7: Jeremy Chinn, Safety

This is a throwback Raider playing style. Chinn plays with moxie and a hard-hitting shoulder. The former Washington Commander faces significant challenges in his new role. Both starters at safety in 2024 are no longer on the roster. For this reason, he will have a major presence in the backend of the defense.

He possesses immense versatility, as he could play in the box or in space. Patrick Graham finally has his missing chess piece for 2025. Last season he recorded 117 tackles and added two fumble recoveries as well.

“I can affect the game in many ways,” Chinn recently said. “This defense is allowing me to do that.”

No. 6: Christian Wilkins, Defensive Tackle

The former Miami Dolphin did not have a history of injuries in his professional career. However, last season the defensive tackle suffered a Jones fracture in his foot. This setback is still a roadblock today, as he was the only consistent absentee in training camp.

Despite his inability to perform and compete, Wilkins receives compensation commensurate with his potential as a star on this team. He was signed to a four-year, $110 million contract in 2024. Due to his stellar breakout season in 2023, the Clemson alum earned a high payday. He racked up almost 10 sacks as an interior defensive lineman. Nonetheless, if the foot fracture can heal, Wilkins will have a major impact on this defense.

No. 5: Kolton Miller, Left Tackle

Although he does not garner many accolades, Miller is the best offensive lineman on the roster. After a rough start to the season, he successfully turned things around in 2024. He remains reliable and sturdy regardless of the circumstances.

Miller is in the final year of his contract, and it is hoped that the team will extend his tenure in Las Vegas.

No. 4: Jakobi Meyers, Wide Receiver

The severely underrated wideout is the best pure wide receiver on the roster. Meyers may not know the definition of a drop. His stellar route running and solid hands make him a standout in the Sin City offense.

This season he will be one of the security blankets for Geno Smith.

No. 3: A.J. Cole, Punter

Being the top player at your position ensures a spot in the top ten. Cole earned a Pro Bowl nod in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Additionally, the punter has earned two First-Team All-Pro nods in his young career.

The boot connected to his leg and the precision of his punts set the Raider defense up for success. In 2023, this Raider held the record for the longest punt of the season (83 yards).

No. 2: Brock Bowers, Tight End

After an outstanding rookie season as a tight end, the Georgia alum established himself as the Raiders’ top offensive player. He led the team in targets and recorded 1,194 receiving yards. Additionally, the tight end finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting.

Bowers is the ultimate mismatch for defenders. He is too fast and elusive for linebackers, yet too strong for cornerbacks.

No. 1: Maxx Crosby, EDGE

“The Condor” epitomizes the Raiders’ identity and serves as their vital core. He is the player who every team schemes for in the game plan. John Spytek and Pete Carroll agree that the Eastern Michigan alum, who is the player in question, signed a three-year, $106.5 million contract. The amount made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL at the time.

Although he earned a Pro Bowl honor, last season was one of the worst seasons for “Mad Maxx.” Despite the underwhelming season, he brings contagious energy to the entire roster. Not to mention, he is the ultimate competitor, a vocal leader, and the most impactful player on the roster.
