The Las Vegas Raiders have not won the AFC West in over a generation. So far, the Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the division, and unless there is a sudden decline, this year’s Super Bowl participants should logically win it again, right?
With the NFL season kicking off, Raider Nation is buzzing louder than the Strip on a Saturday night. There’s a new energy in the air—and a big reason for that is Pete Carroll. The legendary coach has brought his trademark fire and swagger to Las Vegas, and fans are hoping he’s the spark this team has been waiting for.
Let’s not sugarcoat it—the road ahead won’t be easy. The AFC West is a gauntlet. The defending champion Chiefs are still the team to beat, the Chargers are loaded with talent, and the Broncos are looking feistier than ever. All three are aiming for playoff spots, and none of them are going to hand the Raiders anything.
The Silver and Black enjoy their status as underdogs, which is what makes this position so appealing. They thrive in proving the naysayers wrong. With Carroll instilling a new culture, it’s hardly a surprise that this club will start to garner notice right away. The roster features youthful talent, a fierce defense, and a chip on its shoulder the size of Allegiant Stadium.
The Raiders are projected to finish in __ place next season in the AFC West.

If the Raiders can establish their rhythm, secure a few surprising victories, and maintain their health, they have a genuine opportunity to disrupt the division. It won’t be an easy task, though, as we know, things are rarely straightforward in Raider Nation.
The fight is on. And this time, the Raiders might just be ready to punch back.
