AFC West: Raiders, Chargers, and more.

AFC West Power Rankings: Latest Movement Heading Into NFL Week 12

Another week of AFC West action is in the books, and that means it’s time for updated power rankings. With divisional matchups on the slate, the standings saw a shake-up. Here’s how the latest results reshaped the hierarchy.

4. Las Vegas Raiders

Trending: Down

If the AFC West had a fifth slot, the Las Vegas Raiders would claim it after that sorry showing on Monday Night Football. This season has felt lost for weeks, but Monday was the final nail in the coffin. It’s time for Las Vegas to stop stashing rookies on the bench and start preparing for 2026.

3. Los Angeles Chargers

Trending: Down

The Los Angeles Chargers’ offensive line injuries finally caught up to them. Los Angeles couldn’t run the ball, and Justin Herbert spent most of the day under duress. Despite their 7–4 record, the Chargers need answers fast if they want to keep their playoff spot. A timely bye week awaits, followed by what should be a layup against the Raiders. They’ll need to use that window wisely before a brutal stretch closes out the season.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

Trending: Down

We’ve officially reached the point where the Chiefs no longer get the benefit of the doubt. For months, the assumption was that Kansas City would eventually find its rhythm and climb back to the top of the division. After losing to Denver, that belief has all but evaporated. The Chiefs now sit four games back with six to play, and the reality is clear: Kansas City is fighting for a wild-card berth, not a division crown.

1. Denver Broncos

Trending: Up

There’s no denying it anymore: the Denver Broncos are the best team in the AFC West. Their offense may be middling and prone to first-half sleepwalks, but they consistently do just enough—and their defense handles the rest. How far that formula can take them remains to be seen, but in a division falling far short of preseason expectations, it might be enough to win the whole thing.
