NFL Week 13 proved once again why tight end Brock Bowers is probably the lone reason that Las Vegas Raiders fans have anything to look forward to this season.
Bowers, already a Pro Bowler and All-Pro in his own right, is a name that’s quickly garnering attention. The former Georgia Bulldog has quickly adapted to the professional ranks, and you could make an argument that he’s already the league’s best tight end.
So, it makes sense that he’d be one of the highlights that Raider Nation still looks forward to on Sunday—right there with Maxx Crosby and AJ Cole as the two are elite players at their respective positions.
However, unlike Crosby and Cole, Bowers’ playmaking ability and catching prowess add a different twist than what a pass rusher or punter can do. This past Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, that statement rang true.
Raiders TE Brock Bowers is another level…
One of Bowers’ two touchdown passes in particular set social media ablaze. The amazing one-handed catch drew praise from not only his teammates but those who cover the league, such as Ari Meirov. Pro Football Focus went as far as to list Bowers as part of their “Team of the Week” on offense. In a game where the Chargers held the Raiders to a total of 156 total yards, you could certainly make the case that Bowers “was” the offense. Simply unstoppable.
While Bowers has struggled to find the endzone this season, when he does, he makes it count. Case in point, this past Sunday’s game, or when he exploded for a trio of touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars in November. With many Raiders already setting their sights on potential quarterback prospects for 2026, tuning in to watch Bowers gives Raider Nation a small semblance of hope for the future.
