Raiders pre-game notes: It will all soon be over, Raider Nation

It is almost over. The Las Vegas Raiders have one more game left to slog through this season.

To get you ready, here is your one-stop guide for injury updates, fantasy notes, betting angles and more. Let’s get into it.

Vibes

The mood this week feels like waiting for the season’s merciful end. Watching the Raiders has been a grind.

As much as it will sting to lose football Sundays, the last two months have felt less like an escape and more like another chore on the list.

Injury News

The Raiders’ injury report is ugly this week. Beyond the recent wave of injured-reserve moves, Las Vegas has ruled out several more starters. On offense, quarterback Geno Smith is out, leaving Kenny Pickett and Aidan O’Connell to split snaps behind an even thinner offensive line that will be without guard Dylan Parham. On defense, tackle Adam Butler is also out, opening the door for younger players to take on bigger roles.

For many fans, the injuries will not feel like bad news. With draft position looming, the focus has shifted from wins to where the Raiders land.

Kansas City is also limping to the finish. The Chiefs added multiple starters to injured reserve last week, including Rashee Rice, and will be without guard Trey Smith and tight end Jake Briningstool this week. With so many regulars sidelined on both sides, this game is likely to resemble a preseason matchup.

Because most fantasy leagues wrapped up last week—and there is little worth starting outside of Ashton Jeanty—there will be no Fantasy Focus this week.

Gambling Corner

This is essentially a preseason game, so wager at your own risk. With both offenses banged up, the under 36.5 at -112 is the best look on the board.

If you are picking a side, the 5.5 points with Las Vegas at -110 make sense. Kansas City has not looked built to beat anyone by a touchdown right now. As a long shot, consider Travis Kelce to score at +235. If this is his finale, do not be surprised if Andy Reid makes a point of targeting him in the red zone.

Expectations

Raider Nation has every right to expect the Silver and Black to finish the job. You do not shut down stars like Maxx Crosby and Brock Bowers without aiming for the No. 1 pick.

That is why Aidan O’Connell playing should make fans nervous. He has plenty to prove, and he is probably the most competent quarterback on the roster. Kansas City should still win, but do not be surprised if this turns into a four-quarter sweat.

Final Prediction: Raiders 13, Chiefs 16
