Las Vegas Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty

One coaching hire that will greatly benefit Raiders star RB Ashton Jeanty

As most Las Vegas Raiders fans know, the run game is in desperate need of improvement. That started with getting the right offensive line coach.

There’s no doubt about it, 2025 was a train wreck for the Silver and Black. One could argue that the moment former head coach Pete Carroll brought in his son, Brennan, to take over one of the most pivotal position coaching positions, it was a wrap. Brennan had no qualifications, nor did he carry any upside; it was your textbook display of nepotism. Unfortunately, the Raiders paid dearly for it.

Statistically speaking, Jeanty was solid. Raiders fans often cited his numbers as some sort of justification that his selection was not warranted. He recorded 975 rushing yards and five scores via the ground along with another five receiving touchdowns. In reality, it’s the fact that he still excelled despite the atrocious coaching and game planning which proves he’ll be special. Luckily for Jeanty, the Raiders opted to bring in Rick Dennison to replace Pete’s son.

Raiders HC Klint Kubiak brings in a familiar face to help Ashton Jeanty…

For those who might not be overly familiar with Dennison’s work, he was one of Kubiak’s pillars in Seattle. They helped turn around one of the worst rushing offenses into a unit that, along with a potent defense, propelled them to a Super Bowl win. It’s hard to imagine now, but back in 2024, the Seahawks were 28th in the league. Last season, they pivoted to No. 11, and we all saw what happened afterward.

The question will be if the duo can duplicate that success in Las Vegas. Dennison, for his part, previously worked with outstanding names such as LeSean McCoy, Alvin Kamara, and most recently, Kenneth Walker III.

With the right approach and scheme, Jeanty could see his numbers skyrocket under Dennison and Kubiak—Raider Nation will have to wait and see.
