Considering this is my first piece of literature for the Raider Ramble, it would be apropos to introduce myself and the format in which my content will enter your brain. My content will be taking the form of what I have dubbed, “The VEGAS Archives”. Basically, I came up with a cheeky acronym to sort players and other ideas by using the letters for the new home of the Raiders. It was indeed on the nose.
Draft season has finally concluded with the Oakland Raiders making eight selections in the 2017 NFL Draft. The entire league has finally realized what the Raider Nation has already known for a while: the Raiders are back. In the first of many power rankings for the NFL’s 2017 league year, the Raiders open up as the number three ranked team in the league.

While there’s some still questions regarding what general manager Reggie McKenzie will do as far as acquiring Marshawn Lynch or trading for a cornerback such as Richard Sherman so here’s our attempt at addressing the many holes the Oakland Raiders still have.
With the 2017 NFL Draft only weeks away, speculating is flying everywhere on who everyone thinks the Raiders will take with their 24th overall pick in the 1st round. Not only am I going to add to that speculation but I’m also going to briefly give you some of my thoughts on who I think Oakland should target through the first 5 rounds. Let the games begin!
