For back-to-back years the Oakland Raiders have done their homework when it comes to scouting players and they have made the most with their recent draft picks in quarterback Derek Carr and linebacker/defensive end Khalil Mack in 2014 and 2015 by adding wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Four Raiders Ranked Among ESPN’S Top 100 NFL Players List
Along with these draft picks, the Raiders went to free agency and pulled in left guard Kelechi Osemele to help protect their franchise player in Carr. These additions quickly made an impact thrusting the Silver and Black to their first playoff appearance in fourteen seasons.
They are poised to make a second consecutive playoff run with the help of these four impact players who were recently featured on ESPN’s Top 100 NFL players list. It’s quite the endearment and it goes to show you how far this roster has come in such a short amount of time.
Here is where they stand:
Defensive End Khalil Mack – No. 7
Left Guard Kelechi Osemele – No. 37
Wide Receiver Amari Cooper – No. 42
Quarterback Derek Carr – No. 70
Now the player rankings individually themselves will lead to much debate within Raider Nation, but the fact is, this praise is indicative of the remarkable progress the Raiders have made.
