The Oakland Raiders relieved Ken Norton Jr. of his duties as defensive coordinator today.
As the Silver and Black continue what has been a disappointing season so far, a massive change to their coaching staff took place today.
Raiders Fire Ken Norton Jr.!
Long embattled defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. was relieved of his duties earlier today as Ian Rapoport shared the news earlier via Twitter.
Sources: The #Raiders have fired defensive coordinator Ken Norton, per @MikeSilver and me. Big change.

Defensive assistant John Pagano will be assuming the coordinator duties from here on out.
One can question the timing of this move as personally it was my opinion that such changes wouldn’t happen until after the season. However, this move might indicate the team isn’t giving up on this year.
Moving forward, Pagano is an experienced coordinator that might just prove to be the right man to help turn around the defensive unit, though talent depth will continue to be an issue, especially in the backfield.
One interesting development almost immediately as the news was announced was the displeasure of linebacker Bruce Irvin, who clearly disagrees with the decision.
BULLSHIT

No doubt many amongst Raider Nation as well as the team itself will have different sentiments regarding this decision, and now Pagano must prepare to go up against the Raiders own former offensive coordinator, Bill Musgrave this Sunday.
