Jordan Love, 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Utah State
Love is becoming a name that Raider Nation is familiarizing itself with, and rightfully so. The Utah State product shined at this weekend’s Senior Bowl as he was named the North Squad Offensive Player of the Week. This physical specimen, who’s drawing comparisons to Colin Kaepernick, should be on general manager Mike Mayock’s radar come April. The problem is what the Raiders are planning to do in the first round. If they plan on going all defense or even a WR/LB duo without trading into the second round, will he be there in the third? It’s doubtful with his stock skyrocketing.

Love checks out everything as far as the physical part but his awareness, accuracy, and overall decision-making are still raw or need calibrating. The Draft Network’s final words on the quarterback eloquently summarize his potential:
Jordan Love isn’t without his warts but he possesses a high-level physical skill set and peaks on tape that reveal the ceiling of a potential dynamic NFL starting quarterback.
Sitting behind Carr would benefit him greatly; I see a potential Alex Smith/Patrick Mahomes comparison if this scenario happens.
