The 2020 NFL Draft is quickly approaching and we at the Raider Ramble posed a question to Raider Nation. After all the moves that have been made, what position should the Las Vegas Raiders address first?
General manager Mike Mayock opted to invest heavily on the defensive side of the ball in free agency. And this was certainly the smart move, especially when you consider the fact the linebacker position was not just addressed but vastly improved. This obviously meant that other positions such as wide receiver and cornerback were left short changed.

Given all this, we know the Raiders will have to tackle the remaining deficiencies on their roster via the draft. We then decided to ask our readers throughout social media what the team should do with their first pick.

The overwhelming majority responded with wide receiver and cornerback across Twitter and Instagram. This is obviously the logical choice, the Raiders signed Nelson Agholor but let’s face it, the team still needs a number one wide receiver. Luckily for the Silver and Black, there will be a plethora of talent at that position early and often. Cornerback was another position that will be needing attention. Eli Apple was picked up after the first wave of free agency but I don’t think he’ll be in competition for a starting spot.
The consensus was pretty clear and while fans don’t run the team, we’re sure Mayock is aware of these needs as well. And let’s face it Raider Nation, he hasn’t dissapointed yet.
