Nick Kwiatkoski, Linebacker
The Raiders desperately needed help at linebacker. Then again, when haven’t they? The only difference was that in 2020, Raiders brass finally decided the position. The team invested heavily in free agent Nick Kwiatkoski, all eyes will be on him this year.
Per Pro Football Focus, the former Bears linebacker graded out at 72.6 overall. In particular, what truly stands out for Kwiatkoski and his 81.8 pass-rush grade for 2019. In fact, Kwiatkoski totaled three sacks, eight tackles for a loss, and three QB hits.
His numbers with the Bears were excellent and it’s expected he’ll be leading the Raiders defense out of the gate. With so much financial investment placed on him, can he live up to expectations? This is the case for any big free agent with any team but for the Raiders and the linebacker position, Kwiatkoski will have to deliver and then some.
