You can be mad at Las Vegas Raiders right tackle Trent Brown’s shenanigans. We will just nod our head and agree with you and concede that taking off his contact traces was reckless. However, you can’t deny the impact he has when he’s on the field and how better the Silver and Black’s offensive line is when he dresses up. That’s why it was frustrating to learn that he won’t suit up for the Silver and Black’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

After a few days of uncertainty, we finally know that Trent Brown will not play in Week 8. Head coach Jon Gruden played this one close to the chest as he opted not to share much about the right tackle in his latest sitdown with the press.
I want to find out what his wind is. He had COVID-19, which is a serious deal. So we have to find out what his conditioning’s like. There’s a lot of other things that weigh into this as well.
We know NFL head coaches try to conceal as much intel in order to have a competitive advantage. Nevertheless, our sugar levels went up with this one and finally went down when we learned ’77’ wouldn’t play. Whether we accept it or not, Brown’s presence in the offensive line would’ve increased the team’s odds of beating the Browns. As admirable as Sam Young has been in relief of Brown, the latter is the better player.

What about the rest of the inactives?
Defensive end Arden Key received a doubtful designation in the team’s latest injury report, so this one doesn’t come as a surprise. On the other hand, the Raiders don’t need to rush Bryan Edwards. As formidable as the team’s wide receiver corps could become when he returns to the field, they should play it safe.
The rest of the inactives lists isn’t that surprising. We will finally get to see defensive end David Irving’s debut with the Silver and Black, but other than that, this list went as expected. The Raiders have enough of their key contributors back in the lineup to leave Cleveland with their fourth victory of the year.
