The AFC West clash between the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs turned out to be a shootout with both quarterbacks playing some impressive football.
Raider Nation as always had plenty to say, even at half-time with the score at 17-14. There were definitely some questionable calls as some of our readers pointed out. Fans also felt that the offense should’ve been able to score more points heading into the half.
On a side note, one reader pointed out that even though the Raiders were winning, they would’ve liked to have seen Henry Ruggs III involved more.

Despite The Loss, There Are Positives For The Raiders
We didn’t see this #Raiders team have a monumental collapse. At no point did I feel like they were wilting under the lights in a meltdown.
BUT no one plays for a pat on the back and a handshake.
Defense is still this team’s Achilles heel. Gotta come up big on $$$ (3rd) downs.

Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report alluded to it best via Twitter, this Raiders team has turned the corner. The fact is, this squad was in it the whole time. Yes, they couldn’t close out the Super Bowl champions but they hung with them all game.
However, the defense continues to be the Achilles’ Heel and there’s no real surprise there. Nick Hjeltness pointed out just how bleak the defense is, it really did seem that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes marched his team downfield in the blink of an eye.

#Raiders TE Jason Witten says he doesn't believe in moral victories but points out this is a young team that took the Chiefs all the way down the wire.
He says they need to get better, and that this loss is a disappointment, but this is a group that believes in each other.

A silver lining is that the Raiders hung into the end with the champs as tight end Jason Witten pointed out after the game. There’s work to be done but keeping up with Kansas City is not easy and the fact is, this game was winnable.
A loss is a loss in the end, but Raiders head coach Jon Gruden still believes in his team and Carr. Another issue moving forward that needs addressing as Gruden pointed out post-game was the drops.
