Raiders News: RB Josh Jacobs

Can Raiders Score More Than 2.5 Touchdowns in Week 9?

Gamble Ramble is back! After finally hitting on all three picks in Week 7, the Las Vegas Raiders were off last week, so no betting advice. Now that the Raiders are back, so are the picks. Let’s keep the streak alive! As always, the odds are as of Friday afternoon via Draft Kings.

Smartest Bet: Raiders -3 (-120)

The Raiders gave up three points on a cross-country road trip; that feels toxic. That being said, if this game were at home, it might be two scores. The Giants are not very good, but the Raiders seem to be pretty good. If Las Vegas starts to collapse, it probably won’t be this week. Take the Raiders and the points. Don’t overthink this pick.

Safest Bet: Raiders Over 2.5 Touchdowns (-155)

Las Vegas has now scored at least three touchdowns in over half of their games. The fact that it is just over half is likely why the line is set at 2.5, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. The Silver and Black’s offense has played a lot of good defenses to start the season. Also, the offense seems to be finding its groove as of late. They should have no problem finding the end zone three times against the Giants.

Best Risky Bet: Las Vegas to Win by 7-12 (+450)

In their last two games, the Raiders have followed the same script: They played an inferior opponent, built a big league, and said opponent got the game back within two scores at the end.  This feels like it could follow the same path. I’m thinking Las Vegas wins this by 10, think 27-17.
