Raiders TE Darren Waller Is Back & Other Health Updates

The Las Vegas Raiders are set for a duel with the Los Angeles Chargers, with the winner punching their ticket for a playoff spot. With so many issues that the team has dealt with, it would be the ultimate icing on the cake to end Week 18 with Vegas celebrating the biggest win of the year. As we get closer to game time, here is the current status of both teams, healthwise.

Who’s out for the Raiders?

For the Silver and Black, they are getting back two important players with the return of tight end Darren Waller and running back Josh Jacobs playing today. Jacobs was previously on the injury report due to his rib injury in last week’s victory versus the Indianapolis Colts. Expect to see “angry Josh” tonight as he’s been having great games on the ground these past two weeks.

Jacobs will be key in securing a victory tonight. The fact that Waller is finally seeing action on the field is fantastic news for Raider Nation. Waller hasn’t played since he injured his knee during the Thanksgiving game with the Cowboys. Waller’s big play mentality is going to be on display tonight. With him now in the lineup, expect some big plays from “83” in what’s essentially a playoff game.

Also cornerback Casey Heyward is questionable for todays game with a knee injury.

Lastly, unfortunately, linebacker Marquel Lee and offensive tackle Kamaal Seymour are both on the COVID-19 list. Raider Nation wishes both Marquel and Kamaal a speedy recovery.

Who’s out for the Chargers?

For the Chargers, their reported injuries are nearly bland, with only two being on there. One being defensive-end Joe Gaziano’s being out due to his ankle, the second being linebacker Drue Tranquill. He is currently questionable for today’s game.
