Do Fans Want Raiders To Move On From WR DeSean Jackson?

DeSean Jackson Raiders wide receiver arrived in the midst of a difficult situation following the tragedy involving Henry Ruggs III. However, how does Raider Nation feel about the prospect of him returning?

The Silver and Black were in desperate need of speed following Ruggs’ release. So, they opted to bring in Jackson, though in hindsight, maybe the Raiders would have been better off picking up Odell Beckham Jr. Regardless, after struggling to find his place, Jackson had a breakout game on Thanksgiving versus the Dallas Cowboys. He caught three passes, going for 102 receiving yards, which meant an average of 34 yards per catch. It was obvious that Jackson could still fly. Unfortunately, he never came close to that production again. After Thanksgiving, Jackson never saw more than five targets in a game.

DeSean Jackson Raiders: Do Fans Want Him Gone?

There are likely a litany of reasons as to why Jackson simply didn’t mesh with the Raiders, maybe a lack of trust from Derek Carr or offensive coordinator Greg Olson not dialing up enough plays for him. Regardless, we posed the question to Raider Nation via a poll on Twitter.

So far, the overwhelming majority feels that it’s time for the Raiders to move on. Las Vegas needs to address the wide receiver position in either free agency or in April at the draft. How do you feel about this? Go to our poll and let us know!

  1. Need a receiver in the draft but i rhink carr didnt get time to connect with him, build trust in each other. He proved he still xould do it.
Many times i seen him open but thi k carr wasnt used to him yet and looked for his ol faithfuls instead of him.

  2. Seems like the raiders used him as a decoy they didn’t throw to him very often the times they did put him in felt like he was just to stretch his legs the team already has there favorite recievers DeSean Jackson isn’t one of them.

  3. PlayMeOrTradeMe

Wasn’t Jackson’s Fault, Terrible Line. Carr Panic’s Can’t Scramble. Waste Down’s Throwing Balls Away when there’s any Heat. Just Terrible!!!
