Record predictions are starting to fill the void between offseason activities and training camp for the Las Vegas Raiders. Most recently, the NFL Network’s Adam Rank weighed in on the Silver and Black.
Adam Rank has the Las Vegas Raiders going 12-5 but also knocking the Kansas City Chiefs out of playoff contention
Several analysts and “experts” are joining the Raiders’ bandwagon following the impressive offseason that they had. Acquiring Davante Adams and Chandler Jones made waves in the NFL world as many people were caught off guard by these transactions. On top of that, Dave Ziegler and Las Vegas’s brass made the most of what they had to work with at this year’s NFL Draft. Picking up several offensive and defensive linemen to fortify the trenches was a smart strategy. The team also fortified the running back position and possibly added a starter via the draft as well. However, the key to all of this is Josh McDaniels, the former New England Patriots offensive coordinator bringing with him a scheme that’s going to bring it all together using the Raiders’ offensive weaponry.
“Josh McDaniels is back as a head coach, this time leading the Las Vegas Raiders. Oh, and by the way, they have Davante Adams.”
Right off the bat, Rank has the Raiders winning in Week 1 on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers, as he further explained his record prediction. As far as key losses go, Rank predicts that the Silver and Black will lose against the Tennessee Titans, their first one of 2022. Then, Rank cites the Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints games as close matchups but ones that the Raiders should come out on top of. By Week 11, Rank predicts the Raiders will be 7-2 before they drop a loss to their division rivals, the Denver Broncos.
How do you feel about this record prediction?
Rank believes the Raiders will lose back-to-back games in Weeks 13 and 14 against the Chargers and the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. Interestingly enough, Rank has the Raiders slated to beat the Chiefs in Week 18 and therefore taking them out of playoff contention. A bold prediction, for sure, but how do you feel about it, Raider Nation? Does 12-5 sound right?
