Raiders Notes: Team’s Remaining Needs And Josh Jacobs’ Instagram

Raiders notes: things were quieter today following the news surrounding Ndamukong Suh and the Las Vegas Raiders yesterday. However, it’s never a dull day for Raider Nation. The offensive line is still a worry, and Josh Jacobs’ Instagram was apparently the topic of the day.

Training camp is approaching as the Raiders players enjoy their break and the news cycle slowly dries up. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean the team’s roster deficiencies magically go away. As for Jacobs, there’s something about his social media accounts that always causes a stir no matter what time of the year it is.

Should the Raiders be concerned about their offensive line?

The Silver and Black underwent major changes at the top, and so far, they’ve had a busy offseason. Their moves are headlined by the acquisitions of Davante Adams and Chandler Jones, but the O-line is another story. Last season’s group was retained, with no major free agents signed. The team did add reinforcements via the NFL Draft, most notably in the form of Dylan Parham.

Josh Edwards of CBS Sports recently named his biggest need for each NFL team. For the Raiders, it was their offensive line, of course.

“The choice came down to the offensive line and the linebackers. The team’s overall success is more closely tied to offensive play, so the offensive line is lean. Dylan Parham was added through the draft and is expected to compete for a starting position this summer. His emergence would be a welcomed surprise given the overwhelming concern for that unit.”

The situation is still fluid for the Raiders. Alex Leatherwood saw action at right tackle during offseason activities. This is despite the fact that many in the media and fans alike believe he’d be best suited at right guard. Once camp gets underway, the entire unit will have the eyes of Raider Nation on them. Management could still add a veteran to the mix, though that’s looking less likely.

Raiders notes: Josh Jacobs and social media

Jacobs and Raider Nation have, at times, had a contentious relationship. His infamous stance that fans are “wishy washy” has lived on in infamy and most have never let him forget. When Josh McDaniels was hired, Jacobs sent out a Tweet that quickly went viral. Of course, the running back took it down, but it lives on. Well, Raiders Twitter and Raider Nation ran with another one of Jacobs’ cryptic posts. This time it was via his Instagram account. It was a picture of MetLife Stadium were apparently he was shooting a commercial.

As you can imagine, people ran with it. It’s probably a combination of offseason conjecture regarding the Raiders’ opting not to exercise his fifth-year option and it being June. Regardless, you can check out some of Raider Nation’s responses down below.
