Raiders Should Consider These 3 NFL Free Agents

The 2022 NFL season seems just moments away. Training camp is around the corner, and in Raider Nation, the excitement is palpable. Following one of the most tumultuous campaigns any franchise has endured, the Las Vegas Raiders made some big moves in the offseason. Those acquisitions have fans roaring for this upcoming football season.

Despite those moves, there are still some question marks with this roster. So, what should the Silver and Black do before camp? Perhaps they can add another contributor? The team could always end up adding someone once camp gets underway as well. Luckily for the Raiders, there are three free agents that would address their three biggest deficiencies: a pass-rushing defensive lineman, a starting right tackle, and depth at wide receiver outside of their top two options.

Which players should the Raiders target with training camp around the corner?

Odell Beckham Jr.

Is there anything that needs to be said? Odell Beckham Jr. is a superstar, and we’ve all seen the catches he can make. How much does he have left and what can he produce? Beckham may be wondering why no one has picked him up, though a lot of that may be due to his injury and recovery. Regardless, he’s proven to be a fiery competitor, and it should go without saying that he still wants to play. When you look at the questionable depth behind Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow, Beckham would be an instant upgrade over anyone the Raiders currently have.

Pros

  • Experience
  • Hunger/Drive
  • Star Power
  • 1 on 1 Ability

Cons

  • Injury History
  • Availability
  • Attitude Concerns

Beckham’s injury history is certainly a concern, but at the same time, when healthy, he can still dominate most defenders. His attitude and status as a “diva” are disputable. By all accounts, his tenure with the Los Angeles Rams has garnered positive reviews. If he still wants to win and if the Raiders are interested, why not bring him in?
