Raiders Fans Are Still Split On Believing Team Can Make Playoffs

After gauging fan interest on Twitter, it does appear that Las Vegas Raiders fans are split in their belief about whether they’ll make the playoffs. It’s interesting, considering where this team was just a few weeks ago. Essentially, they were dead in the water, with talks about picking in the top three of the NFL Draft beginning. Oh, and who can forget both the media and fans calling for head coach Josh McDaniels to be fired?

The best way we can describe people’s feelings is that they’re probably just being cautious. Being a Raiders fan comes with a certain degree of expecting the worst. That sounds pessimistic, but this organization has consistently let down its fan base for the better part of a generation, save for a few blips on the radar. 2022 appeared to be headed that way as well, but then something happened. Quarterback Derek Carr poured his heart out in frustration, and owner Mark Davis gave his blessing to McDaniels. Since then, it’s been a sight to behold. Even still, Raiders fans are taking it easy, one game at a time, and can you blame them?

Things could change if the Raiders take care of business in Week 14

Taking it week by week is the best approach, especially if you don’t want to be disappointed. However, in the Raiders’ defense, if they take care of business on Thursday Night Football, the conversation could change. They’d be 6-7 years old at that point, fully alive and in the thick of things.

If you look at a poll that’s still live on Twitter, the results paint what we just echoed: a split down the middle. Go ahead and voice your opinion on Twitter and cast your vote. Once the game concludes, we’ll revisit this poll; perhaps some will have a change of heart. What about you? How are you going to handle all of this in the coming weeks?
