Following what can only be described as another epic collapse by the Las Vegas Raiders, their head coach, Josh McDaniels, is getting buried online. The three-game winning streak bought McDaniels some time, but in the NFL, it’s a “what have you done lately for me?” type of business.
McDaniels spoke to the media on Friday, expressing much lament as his team likely dropped out of the playoff race. It was a game that some writers called a “gimmie.” Thursday Night Football pitted a team on a hot streak against one that didn’t even have a quarterback two days prior. Even so, a loss stings either way. For McDaniels, he recognized how difficult these collapses have been.
“It’s a gut punch. And, God, we’ve had a few of them where we got a chance and just for whatever reason don’t end up getting it closed out. There’s been a number of reasons why. And so, look, I mean, I think we have a mentally tough group. I think we’ve handled some adversity this year with a good attitude and the right approach, and that’s what we all need to do.”
Josh McDaniels is under heavy fire now…
All it took was another blown lead for fans to turn on McDaniels. Adding insult to injury, you even had media members and a Raiders legend in Charles Woodson “turning off” his television. It’s been the story of the 2022 Raiders: blown leads.
2022 Raiders:
– Blew a 20-0 lead vs ARZ
– Kyler 20.2 sec 2PC
– Blew a 17-0 lead vs KC
– Blew a 20-3 lead vs JAX
– Shutout by NO, didn’t cross midfield in 56 mins
– Lost to Jeff Saturday
– Blew a 16-3 lead with 4 minutes left to Baker Mayfield, who’s been a Ram for 48 hours— Raiders Rants (@LVRaidersRants) December 9, 2022
It’s going to be a long “mini bye week” for the Raiders
in less than a month, the Raiders have been beaten by a head coach who was an ESPN analyst 6 days before the game and a QB who was on a different team two days before the game

Raiders need to fire ENTIRE DEFENSIVE COACHING STAFF ASAP! Why are you playing press man with 15 seconds left in the game? Idiotic

The Raiders just saw their faint playoff hopes die because they let the Rams, with no timeouts, and a quarterback who showed up yesterday, drive 98 yards.
That's the Raiders for ya.

You have to wonder what will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back at some point. If reports from earlier this season are true, McDaniels is safe. If that’s the case, Raiders fans should just sit back and enjoy this madness.
