Whether you’re a gambler or a Las Vegas Raiders fan, there are some intriguing rumblings going on right now. Well, at least in the form of odds. How would you feel if the Silver and Black traded for All-Pro Jalen Ramsey and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft?
The latest news has the Los Angeles Rams possibly parting ways with Ramsey. However, what would it cost to land a player of Ramsey’s magnitude? According to Peter King, it could take a package of draft selections.
“My projection is the Rams could get something between a low first-round pick this year (Dallas, Buffalo, and Kansas City could be interested and pick between 26 and 31 overall) and a package of picks—perhaps a low two this year and a fourth-rounder this year or next—that could rise depending on performance or play-time markers Ramsey could meet.”
Considering the monumental potential impact of this year’s first-round pick for the Raiders, there’s no way Dave Ziegler parts ways with it. Still, he must know that the Raiders’ defense is severely lacking in talent. At that point, giving up a second and third round pick for Ramsey might be an easy sell for Ziegler. Josh Dubow of the Associated Press mentioned via Twitter that the Raiders are the betting favorite per BetOnline.ag to land Jalen Ramsey as of this publication.
Our oddsmakers believe Houston will trade up to select No. 1 overall in April’s NFL Draft 👀

Raiders +400

Speaking of that first-round pick, they also give the Raiders odds of +400 to trade up for the first pick.
I don’t know how Ziegler could engineer these moves in one fell swoop, but as he proved last offseason, he’s the man for the job.
