Las Vegas Raiders; Jakorian Bennett, Josh Jacobs

Raiders Bold Predictions: Jakorian Bennett Redeems, Josh Jacobs Shines

The Las Vegas Raiders will close out Week 5 with a home matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. Former Packer Davante Adams will surely be the center of the broadcast’s attention, but who will truly steal the show? Look for Josh Jacobs and Jakorian Bennett to make their mark on tonight’s contest.

Jakorian Bennett Scores His First Career Interception For Las Vegas

Unfortunately for rookie cornerback Jakorian Bennett, the final image of the Raiders’ Week 4 loss features him face down on the turf. The Maryland product surrendered the game-sealing catch down the sideline in one-on-one coverage against Chargers wideout Joshua Palmer. Offensive pass interference? Perhaps. But we all know you don’t get the benefit of the doubt when your team colors are Silver and Black.

The growing pains have been evident for the fourth-round pick. Bennett has seen 80 percent of the passes thrown his way completed, per Pro Football Reference. However, all of that will change come Monday night. Packers quarterback Jordan Love isn’t exactly turnover-prone, but he’s also far from tested in primetime. Bennett has flashed the skills needed to take the ball away a few times this season; it finally pays dividends in Week 5.

Expect “Sub-Zero” to leave his matchup… out in the cold.

I’ll see myself out.

Josh Jacobs Pulls Off A Hat Trick

It’s the worst-kept secret west of Texas. The Las Vegas Raiders will go as far as Josh Jacobs’ legs will take them. The lack of true balance on offense has been alarming to begin the year, but that ends on Monday Night Football. Concern over the 2022 rushing champion’s poultry numbers (2.7 yards per carry — yuck) will soon dissipate. Josh McDaniels should feed the Alabama alum early and often, especially in the red zone.

That volume should lead to three scores for No. 8.

Davante Adams Sneaks Into The Packers Locker Room; Pretends Raiders Trade Never Happened

Wait. We’re doing BOLD predictions. Let’s try this again.

Aidan O’Connell Will Be Taking Snaps By The Third Quarter

That’s better.

Jimmy Garoppolo is back after a one-week absence, and it feels like his welcome-back brunch only included Josh McDaniels and whoever the Bunny Ranch could spare on short notice. The fan base believes in rookie Aidan O’Connell. So does the previously mentioned Davante Adams. If “Jimmy Jitters” throws ducks throughout the first half, AOC4 should be fully ready to play in the third quarter.

It’s not hard to imagine that Garoppolo rushed himself back in fear of another Frisco Fiasco. If McDaniels actually wants to win and not just be the smartest man in the room without a chin, he’ll save the Nation from more subpar veteran play at quarterback.

We like our struggle play to come with a tinge of hope here in Raider Nation.
