Raiders News: Kliff Kingsbury, Antonio Pierce, and more.

Kliff Kingsbury As Next Raiders OC? Media Pundit Presents The Idea

Hiring the next offensive coordinator will be of the utmost importance for the Las Vegas Raiders, so what about Kliff Kingsbury? Well, shock-jockey Colin Cowherd recently presented the idea.

The Raiders’ offense never really got off the ground this past season. Not Josh McDaniels, not Bo Hardegree—no one figured it out. It also didn’t help that the quarterback position was a cluster****; remember that? You had Jimmy Garoppolo, Brian Hoyer, and a fourth-round draft choice in Aidan O’Connell. The latter, however, might’ve been the saving grace of the previous regime. In the best-case scenario, O’Connell might be the future starter; in the worst-case scenario, the Raiders have their backup signal-caller for the next few years.

The real question is: who’ll lead Las Vegas’ offense next season?

First, let’s consider the source. Yes, Cowherd knows who to drive clicks, but let’s remember, this is the man who consistently gets names wrong on his show. Even so, the idea of Kingsbury running the Raiders’ offense is appealing. Let’s say the team drafts a quarterback in the first round—whether it’s Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, or even Michael Penix Jr.—Kingsbury has plenty of experience working alongside promising signal-callers.

Kingsbury is also very familiar with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, so there’s that. It is quite a coaching advantage that would benefit Antonio Pierce, assuming he gets the gig. With that being said, we all saw how Kingsbury’s time with the Arizona Cardinals ended. Perhaps he’s more suited as a No. 2 guy; perhaps the Raiders could be onto something (if true at all).

Raiders fans react to Kliff Kingsbury “news”

If there’s one thing we do know for a fact, it’s that Raider Nation speaks its mind. The recent development surrounding Kingsbury is no different. Let’s see what they have to say, shall we?
