Las Vegas Raiders News: Antonio Pierce, Mark Davis, and more.

Raiders Predicted To Win 6 Games With “Worst QB Room In The Division”

Looking at the AFC West objectively, could we say that the Las Vegas Raiders have the worst quarterback room in the division this season? FOX Sports certainly believes this; in fact, they have the Silver and Black winning single-digit games.

Tom Telesco’s first offseason as Raiders general manager drew a mixed response. Signing Christian Wilkins was the highlight of the offseason; defensive coordinator Patrick Graham finally has a formidable force up the middle. With Wilkins wreaking havoc inside, Crosby and Co. could very well feast on opposing offensive lines. Still, the quarterback position could be seen as underwhelming heading into training camp—no Jayden Daniels after all. Instead, Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew will duke out for playing time.

That position battle is something that Geoff Schwartz harped on when predicting just six wins for the 2024 edition of the Raiders.

“Depending on how you feel about Bo Nix in Denver, the Raiders have the worst quarterback room in the division—and the team with the worst quarterback room in a division tends to lose more than it wins.”

Will the 2024 Las Vegas Raiders win more than six games?

Graham (and now full-time head coach Antonio Pierce) will lead the defense, which will determine the team’s success. Schwartz pointed out that, in his opinion, Davante Adams is the only surefire thing on offense. While Josh Jacobs has departed, Zamir White appears poised to assume the role of RB1. Even so, Fox Sports could be a bit off in this assessment.

Jakobi Meyers proved to be one of last year’s biggest surprises, despite the instability at the quarterback position. He accumulated eight touchdowns and 71 receptions, averaging nearly 12 yards per reception (11.4). Also, let’s not overlook what Brock Bowers could translate into with the Raiders—paired with Michael Mayer, the Raiders might have a lethal tight end duo on their hands.

Interestingly enough, Schwartz has the Denver Broncos winning at least one more game than the Raiders. The Broncos team that will feature Bo Nix is also the same squad that hasn’t beaten the Raiders in a long time. What say you, Raider Nation? Is a six-game forecast for the Silver and Black accurate?
