Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers, Josh Jacobs

As We Wait For The Last Las Vegas Raiders Rookie To Officially Sign…

On Thursday, eight of 11 Las Vegas Raiders draft picks from the 2025 NFL Draft officially signed the dotted line on their rookie deals. On Friday, Dont’e Thornton joined his eight draftmates, making it nine of 11. Then, on Tuesday, third-rounder Darien Porter became the 10th rookie to do so.

That leaves TCU wide receiver Jack Bech, who still has yet to sign the dotted line.

Don’t worry, Raider Nation; this isn’t at all a holdout. Bech has made it abundantly clear he’s ecstatic to suit up for the Silver and Black and has participated in all team activities thus far. Expect Bech to make his deal official in the upcoming days, making it so all 11 of Sin City’s rookies are officially under contract.

In the meantime, Bech’s counterpart, Jakobi Meyers, seems to be the subject of debate. The Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler recently put out a tweet highlighting Jack Bech at wide receiver but leaving out Meyers.

Now, in truth, Fowler’s tweet was almost certainly no slight at Jakobi. It was highlighting the young cornerstone pieces the Raiders have on offense, including Ashton Jeanty and Brock Bowers.

Still, the tweet left many in Raider Nation with a bad taste in their mouths. And it’s understandable why.

Meyers, entering his third season as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, is fresh off of an impressive 2024 campaign. With career highs in receptions (87) and yardage (1,027), the 28-year-old was responsible for what was by far his best season as a pro this past year.

More impressively, Meyers went the season dropping a total of zero passes via most major outlets. That includes The 33rd Team, which credits Meyers as the first player with 100-plus targets in a season to have zero drops since 2000 per their database.

With major upgrades at quarterback, running back, and receiver as a whole, perhaps Meyers is due for an even better campaign in 2025.
