Las Vegas Raiders legend Charles Woodson is following Tom Brady’s lead, entering the ownership game. But he’ll soon be interwoven with another name; one that’s already quite polarizing.
Let’s put on our conspiracy hats for just a minute and have fun with this. Woodson and Brady will forever be linked due to the infamous “Tuck Rule” game. As we all know, that topic has been extensively covered by way of articles, documentaries, and everything in between. Still, they go back even further to their Michigan days. While both followed different paths, it all came back around.
Move over Tom Brady, Charles Woodson is getting in on the action…
Brady is now a minority owner with the Raiders, the team that holds Woodson to near God-status. Woodson in turn has had his own share of success. He won a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers and is a Pro Football Hall of Famer. Brady will obviously join him there in a few years, too. Well, here’s where it all comes together.
Woodson has thrown his bid in for a stake in ownership of the Cleveland Browns. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Woodson is seeking a 0.1% stake. Congratulations to Woodson, should everything be approved.
Theoretically, Woodson would then own a share of the team who drafted Shedeur Sanders; the player that parts of Raider Nation once wanted their team to “tank” for. A player that has been mentored by Brady himself. Naturally, many expected Brady’s Raiders to draft Sanders but that didn’t pan out.
Sanders, for his part, is battling for snaps ahead of Browns training camp and will likely remain a divisive topic. If Woodson does indeed get his stake approved, all of these people will soon interwoven in one of the more intriguing webs. As far as the Raiders, one would have to wonder why a stake in the Silver and Black has never been in play for Woodson?
