AFC West: Raiders, Chiefs, Chargers, and Broncos

AFC West Power Rankings: Any Movement Heading Into NFL Week 11?

Another week of NFL action is in the books. That means it is time to update our AFC West Power Rankings. Let’s take a look at who is on the rise and who is sliding back heading into Week 11.

4. Las Vegas Raiders

Trending: Steady

The Raiders cannot seem to get over the hump. They played another good team really tough, but still cam up short. It does not help that injuries are beginning to pile up. Geno Smith limped his way through the final stretch, right guard Jackson Powers-Johnson (ankle) is headed to injured reserve, and left guard Dylan Parham left Thursday night’s game with a high ankle sprain. Luckily the Raiders have a little extra rest time to get healthy before their Monday night tilt with the Dallas Cowboys.

3. Los Angeles Chargers

Trending: Steady

Despite all the injuries, the Chargers managed to get by the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, it was not pretty, and this game may have been more of a referendum on the fraudulence of the Steelers than anything else. Regardless, a win is a win, and Los Angeles is 7-3. They get another mediocre test this week against the Jaguars.

2. Denver Broncos

Trending: Steady

We will chalk this one up to Thursday Night Football for now, but it may be time to sound the alarm about the Denver offense. Previously, we could chalk up their struggles to tough matchups. This time, they faced a terrible Raiders defense and still failed to get much going. They’d better get it together in a hurry, as they have a huge matchup with the Chiefs this week.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

Trending: Steady

The Chiefs always seem to hit their bye week at just the right moment. This year is no exception, as it provides them with an extra week to prepare for the Broncos. The Chiefs have to have this one if they want to keep any hopes of winning the AFC West alive.
