Raiders News: Maxx Crosby, and more.

Inside the Maxx Crosby-Raiders offseason: what’s real, what’s noise

Trade rumors have swirled around Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby, but he said he has no idea where the chatter is coming from. In an appearance on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” Crosby addressed the speculation and made it clear he has not been driving it.

“Now that I am quiet, I got people making big statements for me,” Crosby said. “I am in this building every single day.”

Interest from around the league is inevitable for a player of Crosby’s caliber, but he pushed back on the idea that a move is imminent. If he’s not fueling the talk—and he says he’s focused on work, not whispers—who is?

Jay Glazer sparks the trade conversations on Radio Row…

Trade speculation gained steam late in the 2025 season after the Raiders told Maxx Crosby he would sit out the final games because of a knee injury. Crosby, known for his relentless approach, was unhappy with the decision. The shutdown also helped Las Vegas secure the No. 1 overall pick.

Fox Sports insider Jay Glazer referenced that moment during Super Bowl week while discussing Crosby’s future and suggested it could point toward a trade. Glazer said that when a player of Crosby’s caliber wants something, the league tends to accommodate it. He added that multiple teams contacted him to check on Crosby’s availability.

Although many believed Crosby told Glazer his feelings, Samoan Raider cleared everything up himself.

Kay Adams adds fuel to the fire…

Some things never change. Raiders fans remember how “Up & Adams” repeatedly criticized Las Vegas over its handling of Davante Adams, with host Kay Adams often suggesting the star receiver should ask for a trade. That storyline eventually became reality.

Now Adams is back on the Raiders beat, this time with pass rusher Maxx Crosby. During an interview with running back Ashton Jeanty, she brought up the rumors and asked for his reaction.

“You might lose Maxx Crosby,” Adams said. “Could you imagine him leaving?”

For now, the chatter has little support. Crosby recently appeared on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” wearing Raiders gear inside the team facility, pushing back on the idea that he is driving trade talk. Of course, there’s more and everyone in the NFL media world seems to be plugging themselves into the Crosby conversation.

Mike Florio weighs in with a “report” on Monday…

Now Jason LaCanfora of SportsBoom.com has added another claim, citing an unnamed NFL general manager who said Crosby told Raiders minority owner Tom Brady he will not play for the team again and would retire first. The source also questioned whether Las Vegas would actually move him, noting Myles Garrett made a similar demand before Cleveland resolved it with a new deal.

LaCanfora framed Crosby’s frustration less as weariness from losing and more as anger over being placed on injured reserve for the final two games, a move that helped Las Vegas secure the No. 1 pick in 2026.
